Jennifer Gilling has over 30 years experience in support and advisory roles, not just counselling but within Civil and Public Sector organisations. Her transition into Counselling stems from her interest in the well being of people both inside and outside of work. With her previous work and personal experience, it has been a seamless transition now including private, paid and volunteer work in the mental health service since 2010.
Jennifer is a Therapeutic Counsellor, eclectic in her counselling approach she uses appropriate methods or techniques, dependent upon client needs. Her counselling orientation is Person or Client Centred combining aspects of Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Grief counselling, Transactional Analysis and Psychodynamic insight. Stress and relaxation therapy which includes mindfulness techniques, as well as Christianity, religion and belief; all form a part of Jennifer's counselling should a client need and agree to it.
